Medications are of no use if the diet is not right
According to Ayurvedic principles, certain foods, combinations of foods, or methods of food preparation can cause a negative reaction in the body. Also, long-term ingestion can cause long-term allergies that are difficult to cure. Some foods are quite healthy. But, mixing them causes food allergies. It happens because they include components that cannot live with another food combination. When this is the case, even a small amount of exposure to unhealthy food, lifestyle, or allergens is enough to trigger a negative reaction and produce an allergic reaction.
Use these steps to care for yourself
- Combine walking in the morning with breathing exercises, yoga, and pranayama. Also, it is extremely beneficial in building your immunity system.
- Excessive exposure to frigid temperatures, the outdoors, air conditioning, and unexpected temperature changes should all be avoided.
- Excessive fasting, a lot of meals per day, or ingestion of a single type of food should all be avoided. Eat foods that have no preservatives, colors, or other chemical additives. Completely avoid foods that contain them.
- Avoid large meals, especially around dinner. Eat light and easily digestible meals.
- When you sleep during the day, you interfere with your body’s metabolism. Therefore, avoid sleeping during the day.
Ayurvedic solutions for allergies
- To loosen the heaviness of Kapha, or earth and water energy, in the sinuses, use a neti pot daily, or twice a day, with a mild saline solution and purified water. This also aids in the removal of allergens that may have adhered to the mucous membranes.
- Nasya: About an hour after using your neti pot, dab a small amount of sesame oil laced with eucalyptus or camphor in each nostril.
- To warm up the Agni, take the Ayurvedic herbal compound trikatu. It is a combination of black pepper, long pepper, and ginger, before meals (digestive fire).
- To help with digestion, you can drink ginger tea any time of the day.
- Reduce your Kapha levels by eating a Kapha-reduction diet. Eat warm, light, natural, prepared foods that are simple to digest. We should prioritize fresh, organic veggies and fruits. To calm the mucous membranes, cook the vegetables with a little ghee or olive oil.
- Spice up your food with ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric, cumin, and cayenne.
- Take Triphala tablets at night to help your body clear itself of toxins that can cause stomach problems. Amalaki, Haritaki, and Bibtaki are derived from fruits. They help in strengthening and cleansing the body.
- To help increase Agni and remove ama, exercise regularly for 30 minutes or more. A brisk stroll, a fun fitness class, a vinyasa yoga class, a hike, a bike ride, or a dance class might all be good options.
